I really like it when concepts are outlandish enough that we know they won’t be production vehicles, but realistic enough that we know the production vehicle will be kinda like it.

Hyundai RWD Concept ended up spliting into the first Genesis and Azera

HCD-14 became the 2nd Genesis Sedan

Here’s the Vision G compared to G90 (the concept is inspired by the production car though).

I think they do a good job of holding to the concepts without making production cars that “look like concept cars,” or are disappointing compared to the concepts. But I think every manufacturer is like this now anyways.

This is actually really good, I think. One thing that REALLY bugs me about current design trends, especialy among Asian marques, is a crazily-complex grille pattern. Like, I like it, in a vacuum. And I could see myself actually buying one of these. But goddamn, it would be an absolute bitch to wash/clean. Give me straight, preferably vertical lines every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

I don’t want to have to use Q-Tips (RIP Phife) to clean the grille when I wash it. And even if I were the type of person to pay someone to clean it, I wouldn’t want them to have to do it.
